Baseball Recap: Wolfe County Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Wolfe County's win against Hazard wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 4-2. The win was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won four games in a row.

Max Whisman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Camden Oliver was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jayden Molands, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Wolfe County's victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Hazard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-21 record this season.

As of now, neither Wolfe County nor Hazard have any future games scheduled.
