Basketball Recap: Rogue River Takes a Loss

Rogue River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Rainier Columbians 46-19. The match marked the Chieftains' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Rogue River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Rainier, their victory ended an 18-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rogue River will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Rainier will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Horizon Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
