It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Savannah can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 34-7 loss at the hands of the Kearney Bulldogs. The Savages haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Savannah had strong showings from Max Howe, who picked up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Aiden Knechtenhofer, who threw for 140 yards and a touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. Howe got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 67 yards.

Savannah's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Kearney, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Savannah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kearney, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Warrensburg on Friday. One thing working in Kearney's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups.
