Football Recap: Taft Takes a Loss

Taft fell victim to West Oso and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Bears, falling 27-0. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Ryan Guerrero looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 93 yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (77.1).

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Oso, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Taft will look to defend their home field on Friday against Agua Dulce at 7:30 p.m. As for West Oso, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against San Diego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
