Kankakee won the last time they faced Thornridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Kays walked away with a 2-0 win over the Falcons.

Kankakee easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-9.

Malea Harrison paced Kankakee's offense, picking up five kills. Harrison got some help from Elizabeth Avalos and her seven assists. Avalos also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Angela Dethrow, racking up seven apiece.

Kankakee's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Thornridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Kankakee will head out on the road to challenge Andrew at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Thornridge, they will take on Bloom in a tournament on Saturday.
