Basketball Recap: Pacifica Tritons vs. San Marcos Royals
Pacifica lost against San Marcos back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pacifica Tritons took a 78-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Marcos Royals. While losing is never fun, the Tritons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 681st, while the Royals are ranked 104th).

Pacifica's loss came despite strong showings from Will Jones JR. and Tommy Williams. Jones JR. posted 23 points and seven boards, while Williams had 19 points and six rebounds. Jones JR.'s evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Fuentes, who put up ten points and five boards.
Even though they lost, Pacifica was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.
