Softball Preview: Norcross Blue Devils vs. Duluth Wildcats
Norcross is on a three-game streak of home losses, Duluth a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change on Tuesday. The Norcross Blue Devils will host the Duluth Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.
Norcross' hitters might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Peachtree Ridge on Thursday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 7-0.
Meanwhile, Duluth won against Lovett on Saturday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Duluth came out on top against Lakeside by a score of 6-3.
Saniya Simmons was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Chayanne Mitchell, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Norcross' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Duluth, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
Norcross couldn't quite finish off Duluth in their previous matchup back in September of 2023 and fell 17-15. Can Norcross avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
