Softball Recap: Hoover Gets the Win

Hoover was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the St. Albans Red Dragons by a score of 9-6. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Red Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Sadi Wehrle, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Board, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.

Wehrle wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Hoover kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Hoover's record now sits at 3-1. As for St. Albans, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will square off against Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Albans, they will face off against Wahama at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
