Volleyball Recap: Burncoat Takes a Loss

Burncoat managed to slip by University Park the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 3-0 to University Park on Monday. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Burncoat was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Burncoat still got an impressive performance from Ibraham Osman, who had 16 digs.

Burncoat's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for University Park, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Burncoat will be playing at home against Fitchburg at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University Park, they will head out to face off against Assabet Valley RVT at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Aztecs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
