Recap: Campbell County Camels vs. Thunder Basin Bolts
On Friday, the Campbell County Camels faced the Thunder Basin Bolts in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Campbell County fell to Thunder Basin 82-77. Campbell County just can't catch a break and has now endured six losses in a row.
Campbell County's loss came despite strong showings from Lane Hladky and Mason Drube. Hladky scored 17 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds, while Drube scored 18 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hladky posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Rylan Robertson, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Campbell County's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Thunder Basin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Campbell County will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 275 points over their last four games. As for Thunder Basin, they will head out on the road to square off against Laramie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Laramie will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
