Football Recap: Queensbury Skates Past La Salle Institute with Ease

While Queensbury put up plenty of points on Saturday, the same can't be said for La Salle Institute. The Spartans took their match with ease, bagging a 34-0 win over the Cadets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Hudson Montgomery had a dynamite game, rushing for 95 yards and three touchdowns. Tyler Thetford made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Queensbury didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Thetford and Kurtis Naatz. Thetford got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Queensbury's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for La Salle Institute, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Queensbury and La Salle Institute will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Spartans will face off against rival Ballston Spa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, La Salle Institute is set to challenge their familiar foe Amsterdam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
