Volleyball Recap: Beresford Takes a Loss

Beresford came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Yankton Bucks/Gazelles. The Watchdogs have struggled against the Bucks/Gazelles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Beresford was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Yankton work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 25-23.

Beresford's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Yankton, their victory ended a nine-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-12.

Beresford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Vermillion on the 21st. As for Yankton, they will be playing at home against Spearfish at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
