Soccer Game Preview: Spruce Creek vs. West Port

The Spruce Creek Hawks will square off against the West Port Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spruce Creek is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Spruce Creek is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Harmony on Tuesday as Spruce Creek made off with an 8-3 victory. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Harmony from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Jax Cinicolo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for West Port after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Forest by a score of 2-1. Luis Acosta was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Spruce Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those six games. As for West Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-2.
