Baseball Recap: China Spring Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

China Spring put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Bowie Bulldogs by a score of 7-3.

China Spring got a great performance from Miles Vaughn as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, Vaughn gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dean Hannah, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Maddox, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

China Spring's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Bowie, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, China Spring will challenge Lake Belton at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The last three games Lake Belton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bowie, they will take on Liberty Hill in a tournament on Friday.
