The White Station Spartans will square off against the Brighton Cardinals at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. White Station is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

Dominick Lewis was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He also put up a hit, which was his first of the season.
In other batting news, White Station let Andrew Rambo and Hayes Bennett run wild. Rambo scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Bennett scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, Bennett posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Walter, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Brighton came up short against Tipton-Rosemark Academy on Friday and fell 7-2.
Kaiden Ingram was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Brighton is 4-2 when Ingram posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-7 otherwise.
White Station's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Brighton, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. White Station hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like Brighton struggles in that department as they've averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
