Basketball Recap: Keswick Christian Crusaders vs. Largo Packers
A well-balanced attack led the Keswick Christian Crusaders over the Largo Packers in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Keswick Christian took down the Packers 52-33. Given Keswick Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Packers are ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Keswick Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Graham, who scored 17 points along with five assists and two steals. Graham is crushing the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Robyn Cantwell, who scored 13 points.
Largo lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mikayla Paschal, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 57.6% of Largo's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Leka, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Largo struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Keswick Christian racked up 13 assists.
Keswick Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Largo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Boca Ciega the next time they take the court. Keswick Christian will head out to face the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Packers will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
