Basketball Recap: Buffalo Bison vs. Torrington Trailblazers

There's no place like home for the Buffalo Bison, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 60-49 victory over Torrington on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Buffalo, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Eli Patterson was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 24 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Brady Engling, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Despite the loss, Torrington still got an impressive performance from Brayden Hime, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Mac Hibben was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Torrington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Buffalo pushed their record up to 7-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Torrington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo will face off against the Panthers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Torrington, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bridgeport is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
