Basketball Recap: Dunn Earwigs vs. St. Bonaventure Seraphs
Dunn lost against St. Bonaventure last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dunn Earwigs came up short against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs, falling 81-60. While losing is never fun, the Earwigs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 965th, while the Seraphs are ranked 174th).
St. Bonaventure got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mathew Wilson out in front who went 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards. That's the most assists Wilson has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sam Seiden, who went 8 of 11 en route to 19 points along with seven assists and three steals.
Dunn's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for St. Bonaventure, they pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Dunn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-52 defeat against Bishop Diego on the 27th. As for St. Bonaventure, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 85-58 win against Cate on the 29th.
