Volleyball Recap: Combs Finds Home Court Redemption Against ALA - Anthem South

There's no place like home for Combs, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against the ALA - Anthem South Titans on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Coyotes not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 22nd (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Combs took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-15, 25-14.

Chloe Gonzales paced Combs' offense, picking up 12 kills. Gonzales got some help from Ambriah Lujan and her 13 assists. Mariah Lujan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Combs' victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for ALA - Anthem South, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Combs will face off against ALA - Gilbert North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for ALA - Anthem South, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Heritage Academy on the 9th.
