Basketball Recap: McCreary Central Comes Up Short

If McCreary Central was riding high fresh off their 66-35 takedown of York Institute last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The McCreary Central Raiders fell just short of the Southwestern Warriors by a score of 60-57 on Friday. The Raiders have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

McCreary Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Southwestern, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

McCreary Central will be home for the holidays to greet Knox Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. McCreary Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Knox Central likes a good challenge. As for Southwestern, they and Madison Central will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
