Soccer Game Preview: Globe vs. Apache Junction

The Globe Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Apache Junction Prospectors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Globe's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Globe is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Morenci on Monday. Globe fell just short of Morenci by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Apache Junction fell victim to San Tan Foothills and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sabercats.

Globe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Apache Junction, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Globe might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Apache Junction in their previous meeting back in January of 2016. Can Globe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
