Preview: Boys' Home Hilltoppers vs. Jefferson Christian Academy Cardinals
The Boys' Home Hilltoppers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Jefferson Christian Academy Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th.
Last Thursday, Boys' Home suffered a tough 74-53 loss at the hands of Lewisburg Baptist Academy. While losing is never fun, Boys' Home can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 442nd in Virginia, while Lewisburg Baptist Academy is ranked 96th in West Virginia).
Meanwhile, Jefferson Christian Academy came into Saturday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 68-61 victory over Appalachian Christian HomeSchool on Saturday. The victory was just what Jefferson Christian Academy needed coming off of a 76-42 defeat in their prior game.
Boys' Home's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-16.
Boys' Home was taken down by Jefferson Christian Academy 86-46 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Boys' Home avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
