Football Recap: St. Laurence Vikings vs. East St. Louis Flyers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Laurence can now relate to. They were beaten by the East St. Louis Flyers 50-7 on Saturday. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-0.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Myson Johnson-Cook and Ahmad Coleman. Johnson-Cook rushed for 168 yards and four scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry while Coleman rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Johnson-Cook a new career-high.
