Ola won the last time they faced Veterans and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Warhawks 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Ola got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 20-25, 15-10.

Morgan Jacaman paced Ola's offense, picking up seven kills. Jacaman got some help from Ashlyn Phillips and her 18 assists. Jacaman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Several Warhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alyssa Baughier, who had eight assists and seven digs.

Ola's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Veterans, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Ola will face off against Creekside Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Veterans will be paying especially close attention to the Mustangs' game: after the Mustangs face off against Locust Grove, they'll take on Veterans again at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
