Basketball Recap: Valdez Takes a Loss

Valdez lost against Galena on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Valdez Buccaneers fell just short of the Galena Hawks by a score of 52-49. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valdez now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Galena, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Valdez will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cordova at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Galena, they will head out on the road to face off against Monroe Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
