Baseball Game Preview: Bedford Bisons vs. Everett Warriors

The Bedford Bisons will face off against the Everett Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Bedford fell victim to Somerset and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Bisons have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Bedford got a good showing from Owen Horne, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Horne has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bedford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Huxta, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Everett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-6 to Southern Fulton.

Bedford's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Everett, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Bedford skirted past Everett 3-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Will Bedford repeat their success, or does Everett has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
