Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was the 74-63 winner over Santee when they last played one another back in December of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Democrats fell 73-67 to the Falcons on Monday.

Darnell Miller had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 24 points and five rebounds for Santee. The game was Miller's third in a row with at least 21 points. Andrew Serano was another key player, posting nine points.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Santee, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13.

The future could be bright for both Jefferson and Santee: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Democrats will look to extend New Designs University Park's four-game losing streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Santee will try to hand Diego Rivera their sixth-straight loss when the two meet at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
