Stevenson and Pacific Grove are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Pirates will host the Breakers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Stevenson came up short against Rancho San Juan and fell 10-6. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Pacific Grove's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of King City by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Breakers have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Isis Turner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Pottharst, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Pacific Grove's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Stevenson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Stevenson came out on top in a nail-biter against Pacific Grove when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Breakers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
