Staley came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the St. Teresa's Academy Stars by a score of 40-32. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Stars are ranked 30th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Teresa's Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jazlyn Rhodes, who posted 17 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleyiah Harris, who earned five points and three steals.

Staley's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for St. Teresa's Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Staley will challenge Lee's Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Teresa's Academy, they will square off against Lee's Summit West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
