Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Staley

Staley entered their tilt with St. Teresa's Academy on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Stars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since September 2nd.

Among those leading the charge was Mia Brenner, who had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matches.

Staley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in ten consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, St. Teresa's Academy still got an impressive performance from Sloane Fende, who had 15 digs and two aces. Fende has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

The win got Staley back to even at 12-12. As for St. Teresa's Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Staley has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Lee's Summit West on the 7th. As for St. Teresa's Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Notre Dame de Sion on the 9th.
