Recap: Blue Ridge Knights vs. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights
The Blue Ridge Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 39-11 loss at the hands of Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond. Blue Ridge has not had much luck with Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Claire Seal was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond. That makes it three consecutive games in which Seal has scored at least a third of Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's points. Another player making a difference was Addi Yeakel, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Blue Ridge has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-12.
Blue Ridge will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Urbana University at 5:30 p.m. Blue Ridge is on a five-game streak of home losses, Urbana University a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
