Basketball Recap: Clark Comes Up Short

If Clark was riding high fresh off their 73-43 takedown of Maine East last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clark Eagles came up short against the Kenwood Broncos on Tuesday, falling 71-51. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Broncos are ranked third).

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Kenwood, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.

Clark will face off against Westinghouse at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kenwood, they will challenge Curie at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Kenwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 19 matchups.
