Starmount waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Surry Central Golden Eagles.

Liz Perez-Sonora and Johana Santos-Ramirez scored both of Starmount's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Starmount's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three games. As for Surry Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Starmount will head out to take on East Wilkes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Starmount are facing East Wilkes at the right time seeing as East Wilkes are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Surry Central, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against North Wilkes on the 25th.
