Volleyball Recap: Cypress Ranch Takes a Loss

Cypress Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tomball Cougars. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Cypress Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Tomball, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

Cypress Ranch and Tomball should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked sixth) will meet Atascocita (ranked 133rd) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tomball will face off against Magnolia West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (33 vs. 356).
