Football Recap: Loyola Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Loyola extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-6. They were beaten by the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers 52-3. The Cubs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

JC Rising threw for 27 yards while completing 85.7% of his passes. On the ground, Kane Casani rushed for 38 yards.

As for Sierra Canyon, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.3 points on average this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sierra Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than De'Markus Barnes, who rushed for 77 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries, and also picked up 31 receiving yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Laird Finkel, who threw for 194 yards and three TDs.

Loyola has already played their next matchup, a 17-14 win against Newbury Park on the 7th. As for Sierra Canyon, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Santa Margarita at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Trailblazers 4.3, the Eagles 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
