Basketball Recap: Dekota Johnson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Woodridge

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Geauga, Crestwood was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Woodridge Bulldogs by a score of 55-45. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Crestwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dekota Johnson, who went 9 for 15 en route to 26 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Durham, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points and seven assists.

Crestwood's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-3. As for Woodridge, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestwood has already played their next contest (against Wickliffe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Woodridge will be playing at home against Cloverleaf at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cloverleaf has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
