Soccer Game Preview: Maple Grove vs. Hopkins + How To Watch

The Maple Grove Crimson will venture away from home to challenge the Hopkins Royals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Maple Grove is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Minnesota's top teams: Buffalo, who was ranked second at the time (Maple Grove was ranked sixth). The Crimson and the Bison finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw last Wednesday. The result (or lack thereof) marked Maple Grove's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Hopkins didn't have quite enough to beat New Prague on Thursday and fell 2-1. Hopkins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hopkins' loss dropped their record down to 2-7-2. Maple Grove's draw gives them a new season record of 6-2-1.
