Basketball Recap: Chippewa Comes Up Short

If Chippewa was riding high fresh off their 61-30 takedown of Rittman last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chippewa Chipps took a 70-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsdale Falcons on Friday. The Chipps were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 66-57.

Chippewa has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Hillsdale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Coming up, Chippewa and Central Christian will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Hillsdale, they and Rittman will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Hillsdale is facing Rittman at the right time seeing as Rittman is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
