Volleyball Recap: Somerset Academy Losee Comes Up Short

If Somerset Academy Losee was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mater Academy East Las Vegas last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Somerset Academy Losee Lions lost 3-0 to the Virgin Valley Bulldogs on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since April 15, 2024.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 27-25.

Arving Araizaga paced Somerset Academy Losee's offense, picking up eight kills. Araizaga got some help from Matias Espinoza and his 16 assists. David Salgado controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
