Volleyball Game Preview: Wheatland Pirates vs. River Islands Riptide + Official Tickets

The Wheatland Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the River Islands Riptide at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheatland will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Wheatland made easy work of Center and carried off a 3-0 win.

Wheatland not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Center between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-15.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, River Islands' good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Ben Holt College Prep Academy by a score of 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, River Islands sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 13-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-7.

Wheatland will have to contain Isabella Carrillo as she made an impact in River Islands' last game. She had 20 digs and four assists. Brianna Lee also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

River Islands' defeat dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Wheatland, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
