Wilson has gone 7-1 against Twin Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will host the Raiders at 4:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wilson 3.2, Twin Valley 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Wilson and Fleetwood, and Wilson kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1 on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Wilson's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tim Lengle, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Twin Valley got the win against Wyomissing on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-4. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Nate Lord made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Majeski, who went 2-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Nate DiRocco was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Twin Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.
Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Twin Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Wilson was able to grind out a solid victory over Twin Valley when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 6-3. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
