Baseball Game Preview: Clarence Red Devils vs. Frontier Falcons

The Clarence Red Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Frontier Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clarence's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Frontier's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Clarence is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Williamsville East just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 7-2 to the Flames.

Clarence saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Weber, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run. Sidney Reger also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Frontier, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Cheektowaga 23-0 on Monday. That 23-run margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

Clarence's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Frontier, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

Clarence couldn't quite finish off Frontier in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 3-1. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
