Basketball Recap: Groveton Takes a Loss

Groveton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 60-23 defeat at the hands of the Leon Cougars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-34 on January 3rd.

Groveton's record is now 6-18. As for Leon, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-16 record.

Groveton will be playing in front of their home fans against Lovelady at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leon, they will face off against Grapeland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grapeland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matchups -- so hopefully Leon likes a good challenge.
