Soccer Recap: San Luis Takes a Loss

San Luis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brawley Wildcats. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Sidewinders came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 74th in Arizona, while the Wildcats are ranked 229th in California).

San Luis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Brawley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3-1.

San Luis wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, an 8-1 loss against Cibola on the 14th. Brawley has also already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Yuma Catholic on the 14th.
