It was a good run, but the Waukomis Chiefs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Turpin by a score of 48-45. While losing is never fun, Waukomis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Turpin is ranked 18th).

Turpin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryson Parker led the charge by scoring 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Parker has scored at least 25% of Turpin's points. Gunner Post was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Waukomis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Turpin, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Waukomis is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Okeene at 8:00 p.m. on December 12th. Turpin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Texhoma at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th.
