Basketball Recap: Levi Brumbaugh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Milton-Union over Bradford

Milton-Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 64-54 to the Bradford Railroaders. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 56-45 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Levi Brumbaugh, who went 6 of 14 to rack up 16 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Brumbaugh a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Titus Copp, who posted 17 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Milton-Union smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Milton-Union's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Bradford, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton-Union will head out to challenge Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Milton-Union surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bradford, they will head out on the road to face off against Dixie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradford has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
