Liberty Christian Academy takes loss despite strong efforts from Anna Scheltens and Lauren Moss

Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Eagles vs. Christian Fellowship

The Liberty Christian Academy Eagles suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 60-30 defeat at the hands of Christian Fellowship. It was the first time this season that Liberty Christian Academy let down their fans at home.

Liberty Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lauren Moss, who scored 19 points, and Anna Scheltens who scored no points. That was a full 63.3% of Liberty Christian Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Christian Fellowship was led to victory by Ariya Barton and Brooke Grathwohl. Barton scored 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds, while Grathwohl scored 27 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grathwohl has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emma Kate Bradley, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Liberty Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Christian Fellowship, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Liberty Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Bourbon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Christian Fellowship, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sunnydale Academy at 6:00 p.m. Sunnydale Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
