Football Game Preview: Onsted Wildcats vs. Hillsdale Hornets

The Onsted Wildcats will head out to take on the Hillsdale Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Onsted will be strutting in after a victory while Hillsdale will be coming in after a loss.

Onsted is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Blissfield on Friday. The Wildcats walked away with a 31-21 win over the Royals. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wildcats' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Hillsdale played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Clinton, falling 69-14. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-14.

Onsted moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Hillsdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Onsted against Hillsdale when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 47-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
