Basketball Recap: Prince George's Christian Academy Blue Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Sam Caldwell and Wisdom Carter

Prince George's Christian Academy Blue lost against Springdale Prep back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Prince George's Christian Academy Blue Flyers fell just short of the Springdale Prep Lions by a score of 75-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (66), the Flyers still had to take the loss.

Prince George's Christian Academy Blue's loss came despite strong showings from Wisdom Carter and Sam Caldwell. Carter went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals, while Caldwell went 5 of 6 en route to 16 points. Carter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kevin Jackson, who posted 15 points and five assists.

Springdale Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Mobley, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Hudson, who went 5 for 10 en route to 18 points and seven boards.

Prince George's Christian Academy Blue's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Springdale Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Prince George's Christian Academy Blue wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-39 defeat against Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue on the 21st. As for Springdale Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-73 win against Evergreen Christian on the 18th.
