Ketchum had already won 16 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it 17 on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Caney Valley Trojans a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Warriors have won 18 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ketchum's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Caney Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ketchum will venture away from home to take on Kansas at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Caney Valley, they will head out to square off against Fairland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
